Environmental and social sustainability lies at the core of our development processes.

We believe that such an approach is not only the right thing to do in a world of increasing scarce natural resources but also helps to reduce risk and improve financial returns.

Our social and environmental policy is as follows:

To develop, construct and operate projects that will improve people’s lives and the communities in which they live

To ensure these projects comply, where applicable, with the IFC Performance Standards for Environmental and Social Sustainability

Through our environmentally and socially sustainable development approach, improve and enhance the financial, reputational, and sustainability value of the projects which underpin our platform value.

Alba has an integrated Social and Environmental Management System (ESMS)

We screen all project development opportunities against our Exclusion List and carry out environmental and social due diligence using the IFC Performance Standards as the benchmark for environmental and social risk management.

We will work with our co-development partners to implement an environmental and social policy in line with our own criteria. At all times Alba aspires to the highest of standards, continuously learning to ensure our activities have a positive impact and promote sustainability in all its forms.
